The workers at Monument Chemical need your help. We’re ON STRIKE protesting alleged Unfair Labor Practices. We're standing up for our rights, our health and safety, and the health and safety of our community.

For more than 70 years, the plant has been a vital source of local jobs in our community. Many of our parents, friends, and neighbors have worked here for generations. But now, our jobs, health, and safety could be at risk.

Monument Chemical is prioritizing profits over safety by trying to replace experienced workers who handle hazardous materials with lower-paid, inexperienced hires. This reckless move could endanger the well-being of the entire community.

Our union, Local 32BJ SEIU, has filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging that the company bypassed the union and engaged in direct dealing with employees, and coerced employees by telling them if they voted to strike, they would be kept out of work for two months.
