As a Charlotte resident, I’m invested in the future of our city and region. This is my home. We here in Charlotte are one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and we have an economy that is growing rapidly as well. But that economic growth is not being felt by everyone who lives and works here—and that could threaten the future of our region.

However, it has come to my attention that workers at the Charlotte Airport are having to fight for a safe, dignified workplace -- including access to clean, cold drinking water in their breakrooms. This is unacceptable. They deserve to have their health and safety cared for, just as they care for the tens of millions of people who go through our gateway to the rest of the world.

As your constituent, I am urging you to stand with Airport Workers as they fight for a better workplace. It’s the right thing for the workers, their families, Charlotte, and our region’s future.
